A Fair Trade…

by on March 21, 2010

Well that’s the theme for the MTC Mission at Naremburn/Cammeray Anglican Church. Every talk and event will have that in mind from Sunday sermons to Friday Jazz night and Touch Footy comp to the Womens High Tea. Even the Mens Resuce night with the Firebrigade and the JAWS OF LIFE! Good times have happened and many more to come and all with the message of the trade of Jesus death for our sins!

Well today was our most hectic day and we survived. The team preached at 6 services! And that wasn’t counting the special beach baptism service in the afternoon or the evening confirmation service. Plus there was a touch footy comp of which the valiant MTC team humbly came runners up. But a good day was had with lots of locals joining in for the sport, face painting, sausage sizzle and helium balloon done by the best balloon man ever! (wonder who that could have been…) The night ended with a quick debrief and then a encouraging Q&A with Bishop Glen Davies about what ever our little hearts desired.

Several of the congregation members have been awesome in letting us use their house/pool/shower after the touch footy comp. Plus even though this mission is not residential… a few have graciously offered several people accommodation for the week because of the early starts and late finishes. Speaking of which we start leafleting at 7:30am at train stations and bus stops so pray for good sleep for everyone….
