Trace God’s Grace….into Every Space

by on March 21, 2010

This afternoon the St Philips York St mission team gathered for a time of singing, prayer and reflection on God’s word. Justin Moffatt gave a message from Deuteronomy 6:1-9, a message to encourage us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your strength” (Deut. 6:4).

So how can we love God this way?

Trace God’s grace…(v1-3) By tracing and following the story of God’s grace throughout time, seeing his grace and faithfulness in keeping and fulfilling his promises.

…into Every Space (v4-9). The love of God should fill every space of our lives. From:

1. our hearts and our whole personhood;

2. to our domestic life and household;

3. and overflow in to the community and publics spaces.

Revival is a renewed conviction of sin and repentance, followed by an intense desire to live in obedience to God. It is giving up one’s will to God in deep humility. – Charles Finney

We then attended the evening service which had a “classical yet stylish” atmosphere. It was a very intimate and friendly service. The mission team cooked and served dinner for the evening congregation. We had yummy pesto, pumpkin, bacon pasta with salad and garlic bread. We also had a great time chatting and getting to know the evening church goers over dinner.
