Grooving in the Grove

by on March 28, 2011

Sunday 27th

With 3 students preaching on Sunday and lots of doorknocking we looked forward to meeting people in the area. One doorknocking story stands out from amongst them all. When doorknocking Victor met a guy who was from the exact same area in China! He had been wanting someone to explain to him who Jesus is and what is Christianity! So Victor was able to speak with him in Mandarin and share the gospel! God is good!

Monday 28th

This morning as we visited a Nursing Home we spoke with a lady who was 103 years old and trusted Jesus. We shared the Lord’s Supper with the group of about 20. What an encouragement! Jo and Zoe formed a great travelling music show as we banged out some golden oldies together. One lady even asked when we were leaving, ‘Can I please have a Bible to read?’ So we left a Bible with her and pray that she will read it and trust Jesus.

With plenty to plan for the week ahead for Scripture seminars some of the team put their heads together to come up with a program.

Great things are happening in Hurstville Grove as God works through his Word by his Spirit.
